Abstract

Family planning program according to Law no. 10 of 1992 (concerning Population Development

and Prosperous Family Development) is an effort to increase awareness and community participation through the Age of Marriage (PUP), birth control, fostering family resilience, increasing the welfare of small, happy and prosperous families. Intra Urethrine Device (IUD) or Intrauterine Contraceptive Device is one of the most effective and safe long-term contraceptive devices compared to other contraceptive devices such as pills. This research aims to relate knowledge, husband's support, and mother's interest in using an IUD at BPM Marisi Malau Nagori Pagar Jawa, Tanah Jawa District in 2023. The type of research carried out is an analytical research design with a cross sectional approach. The total population in this study was 33 mothers. The sampling technique used total sampling where the entire population was sampled. The data analysis used was univariate and bivariate using the chi square test. The results of the Chi-Square test were found to be Asymp (2-sided). There was an influence of knowledge on the mother's low interest in using an IUD with a p value of 0.013<0.05 and there was an influence of husband's support on the mother's low interest in using an IUD with a p value of 0.003<0.05 . It is hoped that the public can increase their insight and knowledge regarding the advantages and disadvantages of IUD contraception BPM Marisi Malau Nagori Pagar Jawa Kec Tanah Jawa in 2023
